Holiday Gift
Tag Projects
<<< Y. A. Gallery Main Tag projects, Pg. 2 >>>

Gift tags are a wonderful project for kids or for beginners of any age. Many designs become keepsake ornaments for the tree!

Look for the !!! in the instructions for tasks that should be done by teens or adults.

Important Note about metallic markers!
Some of our kids projects include the use of metallic markers. We've suggested several brands in the instructions that carry a non-toxic rating.

Children under 12 should not be exposed to solvent based metallic and paint markers, which contain xylene. Use of these types of pens should be limited to teens and adults and used only with adequate ventilation.

For more info on art material safety, please see Child Safe Art Materials for PolyShrink.

Most of the tags were shaped using homemade templates. Templates that are cut to the outside of the shape are easiest for kids to make and use. A graphite pencil can be used to trace around the template.

If you want to have a close estimate of the original (unbaked) size you should start with, make a PolyShrink Ruler, and then size the drawing for your template.
