Frames

PolyShrink adds fun and dimension to this paper mache frame.

Materials:

  • Clear PolyShrink™
  • paper mache frame
  • colored pencils
  • heat setting ink
  • Rollagraph™ stamp
  • Miter Maker (for mitering the corners when stamping)
  • Stippling Brushes

Actual Size: 5" x 7"

Directions Below

 Method:

  • Spray the frame with flat Black spray paint
  • Stamp the border with a Rollagraph™ stamp inked with a heat setting ink, such as Colorbox Crafter's or Fabrico. Use the Miter Maker to help with mitering the corners
  • Stipple with several colors of heat setting ink. Heat set the ink according to the manufacturer's directions
  • To make the fish, trace from drawings (as these were) using permanent black marker on unsanded Clear PolyShrink, or stamp images using permanent ink.
  • Sand the reverse side of the PolyShrink and color with colored pencils.
  • Bake the pieces. The colored pencil on the back seems to float behind the drawing or stamping on the front
  • Seal both the frame and the PolyShrink pieces with your choice of sealer
  • Assemble with UTB or other glue.
  • Rollagraph image: Clearsnap
