Stencil fonts are a great pairing with PolyShrink! Use them at their full size on paper, as well as their "PolyShrink size" for wonderful scrapbook pages and other projects. PolyShrink type: Translucent Supplies: MicaMagic Ink - copper, (more ink choices below), Stylus tool with foam tips Stencils: Deja Views "Better Letter" set (Whimsy 3) and Wordsworth (Jester) Circle Punch: Marvy 3inch (optional) |

Instructions |
|
If you want a matte surface, sand a sheet of Translucent PolyShrink. If you'd rather have a semi-matte surface skip this step. Measure the tallest letter of those you'll be using. Plan to make your circle (or other shape) at least 1/4 inch larger. |

For circles: A circle template can be substituted. Draw lightly with a graphite pencil on the opposite side from the one you intend to stencil, then cut out with scissors. For squares and rectangles: |

By far the best tool we found for stenciling on PolyShrink is the Stylus tool and interchangeable white foam tips from Clearsnap. The tips come in a variety of shapes. The foam tips function like a miniature ink pad, making them idea for stenciling. |
![]() |
| Ink the white foam tip by pressing it onto your ink pad. | ![]() |
This will ink, but not over ink the foam tip. (For stenciling, inking the foam tip off the pad is a better choice than inking from a re-inker.) |

| Place the PolyShrink shape on a contrasting sheet of paper, then align the stencil sheet to your shape. | ![]() |
| Hold the stencil firmly with one hand and ink through the stencil with the other. | ![]() |
| When you're finished inking all the letters, pull the foam tip off the stylus handle and wash with water. Expect some staining of the foam. (This will not effect its future use.)
After baking colors intensify. |
