I've been into crafts and crafting ever since I can remember; but didn't get into stamping until eight years ago. I have been working at The Great American Stamp Store since 1996 and teaching classes there since 1998.

I was first asked to send in a sample for publication while demoing for Evolving Images at a convention in New Jersey and have since had my work shown in such publications as The Stamper's Sampler, The Rubber Stamper and Stamping Arts & Crafts. Other interests are carving my own stamps, bookmaking and polymer clay.

On a personal note I've been married 20 years and have 2 boys and a Dalmatian.

Statue 3 Ladies
Supplies:

  • White PolyShrink
  • Fresco Chalk-Finish Ink pads (Florentine Rose, Mediterranean Tide, Medici Marble Tuscan Earth)
  • Colorbox sponge stylus
  • Copper leaf pen

Cut out two pieces of PolyShrink. Make one piece approximately 1/2" larger. If you'll be embellishing the piece with charms, beads and fiber, punch holes at the bottom of the larger piece before shrinking.
Add color from the ink pads using the Colorbox foam stylus, and by tapping the edge of the ink pad to make the straight lines on both pieces. Stamp the image on the smaller piece, shrink, then glue to the larger piece. Run the copper leafing pen along the edge, then add charms and fibers if desired.
