Jane Roulston has been interested in printmaking ever since majoring in art in college. She has been teaching at stamp stores for the past six years, specializing in composition, color, and creativity classes for those who consider themselves to be "non-artists". For the past three years she has been working largely with PolyShrink, teaching classes and working as a demo artist for Lucky Squirrel.

Jane lives in Amarillo, Texas with her husband, children, cats, dog and prairie dog.

Below, Card Detail: Canvas White PolyShrink, Intaglio impression made with a stamp inked with Dr. Ph. Martin's Iridescent Calligraphy ink. Background color, chalk pastels rubbed in to sanded surface before shrinking. Gold dots are Marvy solvent type metallic marker. Mounted on two layers of card stock.

Swirl Earrings
Cut 2 rectangles (4"x 2 1/2") from black PolyShrink. Punch a hole on each end. Stamp textures and swirl in Encore® metallic ink. Shrink, then gently blot any excess ink from the surface using clean paper. (Handle with care until you've completely the next step!) Seal with a matte spray sealer. Add dots with Lumiere metallic paint. Add beads and ear wires.

Fish Pin
Cut circle (3 1/2") out of Canvas White PolyShrink. Rub lightly with light brown chalk pastels. Stamp textures in brown
heat set inks. Stamp fish in black heat set ink. Shrink. Dots are Lumiere metallic paint. Spray with a matte spray sealer, dry and then spray with a high gloss spray. Make a backing frame with black polymer clay, and bake it. Highlight with metallic rub ons and seal with matte coat spray. Glue in the PolyShrink inlay with super glue.

Dragonfly earrings
Cut 2 circles (about 3 1/2") from black PolyShrink. Punch one hole at the top for the ear wire, and 3 holes at bottom for beads. Shrink. Make an
Intaglio impression with the stamp. Cool and pat on metallic rub-ons and fix with matte spray sealer. Add dots with Lumiere metallic paints. Put on ear wires and beads.

Deer Pin
Cut rectangle (approx.4 .5"x 2 .5") out of Canvas White PolyShrink. Rub lightly with brown chalk pastels. Stamp textures in brown
heat set ink. Stamp Deer stamp in black heat set inks. Add metallic dots with Lumiere metallic paint. Shrink. Spray with matte spray sealer, dry, and then apply high gloss spray. Make a backing frame with black polymer clay and bake. Glue pin into frame.
