Gini Robison

Art has always been a part of my life. In the 1960’s I was part of the Ann Arbor Art Fair, showing silver, bronze gravity, and centrifugal cast jewelry and sculpture. I also exhibited in an International Jewelry Show at Eastern Michigan University.

By the 70’s I was weaving, with shows in Ann Arbor and Lansing Michigan. There was also teaching art in the public schools and Continuing Education classes in macramé and frame loom weaving.

The next twenty years were spent developing my Music Studio and performing career. Recently I felt that I needed to get back to art because my soul needed to be fed! So in 1988 I began to do jewelry again. This time I wanted to bring smiles and fun to peoples lives, so Whimsical Jewelry was born!

Currently I’ve participated in craft shows around Michigan and am showing works in 2 local galleries, Chelsea Gallery and Marquette Fine Arts Center.

My day work is teaching voice, piano, and organ in my private studio. I am also two-hands of a four-hands piano team called “Ladyfingers”, as well as a Sensory Integration Listening Fitness Instructor. In my other work I’m having much fun creating and seeing people smile and laugh at the whimsical jewelry which I enjoy making.
